Ok guys, i've just ripped a bluyray to my HD. i wanna encode it to 720p for a backup.

I copied the whole dvd but i tought it would be simple to use the AVCHD Video i got (.m2ts) and encode.

I basically used megui, click DG Indexer, and then clicked DGA creator and opened the .m2ts file. It took a few mins and it demuxed both audio files and i created an AVS scrip and encoded the video. The video encoded perfectly.

I'm having trouble with the audio. The demuxed audio wont open of play. If i open it, it would be like 1 hour 20mins in length and it not play. The original episode from the m2ts file is only 23minutes which is the right length.

I have no idea why the audio is messed up. Perhaps this is because im going about the demuxing process all wrong.

I hope someone could let me know what i'm doing wrong.

Indeed. I would suggest using eac3to directly on the disc itself, since it's quite capable of handling tricky authoring, like seamless branching.

For example - assuming your BluRay drive is f:

eac3to f:

This will return a list of titles on the disc. Let's assume title 1 is the one you're interested in (it usually is)

eac3to f: 1)

This will return a full stream list, with each track numbered. For example, assuming the video is on track 2, and the DTS-HD is on track 3, you can use this method to extract the DTS core:

eac3to f: 1) 2:Movie.mkv 3:Audio.dts -core

Or to transcode, change Audio.dts -core to Audio.ac3 -640
