Hello,

I use DVDShrink for ripping TV-series-DVDs for my HTPC.
In the past I did this without any menus, just the movies.
But I discovered, that it was impossible to jump to the next episode via my HTPC using skip because skip is used for skipping chapters, which I want to keep.
So I'm looking for a tool (no shrinking needed) that allows me to just keep the video and audio from the original dvd and automatically generates a menu with a button for every episode on the resulting DVD.

As an example I have a original DVD with menu structure, 4 episodes, FBI warning and other crap (extras). The resulting DVD should contain a menu with four buttons named Episode 1 ... Episode 4 which pops up after inserting the DVD.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

PgcEdit comes with a macro "dvd shrink remote buttons" that uses the TITLE key to skip to the next episode while keeping SKIP for chapters.

Heres what I did in the past. I had a dvd that was scratched I managed to rip it to the harddrive, it had four tv episodes, the problem was when I ripped it to the hd the tv episodes were spilt so I had to use mpegcut to cut each Episode. So heres what I did, the end of episode 1 was attached to episode 2 once I cut the end of ep1 off I rejoined it with JoinVobFiles then saved ep1 to to a seprate folder on the desktop. Next cut the end of Episode 1 which will be at the beginning of episode 2, after you have done that next cut the end of episode 2 off which is joined to episode 3 then join ep 2, so on and so forth. I know this is a bit long winded but its real is easy to do. Now you should have ep1, ep2, ep3, ep4. Next you will need a program called VideoReDo TVSuite this will change each vob episode to mpeg2 theres no quality loss it take a few minutes to change each vob to mpeg2 I know a vob is already an mpeg2 but there is a reason for this. Lastly you will need the program to remake your dvd its called dvd lab pro, the reason I said what said about changing the vob to mpeg2 is because dvd lab dont like vobs because it cannot sperate the video and audio. It will how ever seprate the video and audio when its an mpeg2. So you load your mpeg2 episodes, you can then make a menu really easy add a backround picture or a motion menu that you ripped off from your dvd, add chapters, add buttons its really easy. Or you could just try nero vision. Hope this helps
