MeGui Help Error

Hello all.

I've read these forums as a non-member before, and I love this place. I've used a lot of tips here, but I've run into a snag with a program I love to use....MeGui.

I got this error.....

...and I cannot get this video to transcode.

Anyone seen this before? Googling it came up with nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a custom set for transcoding On-line streaming video. I've done fine before, but now I'm running into the problems.

Hi

I have exact the same problem. The source file is "Sentinel" from ZDF HD. First I've tried H264cutter but I got an error message. Then I also have used TSPE0301; first to scan and remove the errors in the stream and then to cut.

I already have ripped ts streams from ZDF HD with x264 in mkv and it worked. I'm not sure but can it be an windows update? for C++ because the first post here isn't very old.

I'm using Windows Vista Business 64 bit.

Edit: Now I'm trying the "old ways"; i have used graphedit + Haali + Powerd DVD 7 decoder, it seems working fine although the decoder is not the best, but i don't have much expierence so i don't know exactly which decoder is best suited for these material, in 8h i have results

Edit: The encoding is finished and it looks fine. But I've problems with both audio tracks .ac3 and .mp2: "Warnung: Dieser AC3-Track enthält 1008 Byte(s) Nicht-AC3-Daten, die ausgelassen werden. Die Audio-/Video-Synchronisation könnte dadurch beeinträchtigt werden." == This ac3 track contains 1008Bytes Not-ac3-files, which must be left out.

It looks that there are problems with DGAVC which I think is actually used in MeGUI, but Neuron has quit working at DGAVC (on his old code)

It's so hard to find answers on my problem with encoding and audio sync.

Here is another video that I ran through Arcsoft's AVCHD Creator, in hopes of creating a smoother transition between frames or something, to keep audio in sync.

Well, it failed too.

I've only found ONE way to encode a video edited by any editor (TSPE or Sniper or TSDoctor), and that's to run it through Arcsoft's media encoder to the highest PS3 settings, THEN using MeGui or some other GUI in order to crop and resize.

It really stinks, because it's MULTIPLE steps, RE-re-encoding, AND it transforms the video from 59.94 FPS, to 29.97 FPS, so it's not as smooth.

I know it's possible to create cuts in video using an HD-PVR1212. I cannot duplicate what they do, to save my life.

I'm curious as to any settings that I'm not figuring out here, that may be incorrect.

There should be no framerate change unless your script tells it to change the framerate.

Assuming your capture was error free and in sync, do your editing in avisynth, and it will stay in sync since you are re-encoding. If using avisynth, you have to re-encode

Are you saying the cuts made by ts sniper, h264 ts cutter, TSPE, ts doctor etc... cause sync errors? Are you cutting on keyframes? If not, that can cause errors

Are you cutting on keyframes?

I don't even see an option in TSPE for keyframe cutting. You'll have to explain this to me, if you have the patience.

So this has nothing to do with megui then ?

I suggest you search on alternative methods of capturing with HDPVR, there were a few threads on that if I'm not mistaken,and you can do it through graphedit -there was a website/blog with this info


I don't even see an option in TSPE for keyframe cutting. You'll have to explain this to me, if you have the patience.

I'm not that familiar with TSPE, but you have to cut on keyframes (I-frames) (or technically right before an I-frame at the end of a GOP) for all cutters. Ask in the TSPE thread, I think ventolin (the author) will help regularly. So your cuts will not be frame accurate, you might have a bit of commercials left. The only way to be frame accurate with cuts is to re-encode at least the affected GOP sections

Have you tried VideoReDo TVSuite v4 w/H.264 support? First, cleanup your .ts file from the HD PVR with QuickStream Fix from the Tool menu in VideoReDo. Edit with frame accuracy and save as a .ts file. No re-encoding will be necessary except at the edit points.
