Can't figure out how to back up DVDs

i bought a couple of dvds for my nephews and would like to make a copy for myself.a friend at work turned me on to this site.he said it was the best out there.i do agree.i downloaded dvd shrink dvd decrypter and dvd fab6.i just cant figure it out i went to the guides section it helped but im still stuck. is there a guide in there somewhere that shows a step by step what i need to do in order to make a copy.i know im an idiot but my friend said you guys can help anyone.thank you for your time:thanks:

If you are only doing a full copy, use AnyDVD instead. Don't use DVD Decrypter or Shrink, since they are not being developed anymore (for ages) and can't deal with new protections properly.

There are no such guides ;)
There are however some guides for specific protections (or movies). Google for your movies (it would also find posts from doom9.org).
