encoding a bd with vc1 and impeg2 interlaced extras so set ffdshow vc1 to wmv9 to take care of the vc interladced stuff. The main movie is vc1 progressive. Will there be any advantage to changing it back to libavcodec once it starts the main movie. Was going to hit the abort then switch ffdshow then start up rb again to restart @the main movie.

Also looking at the size of the re-encoded extras theres a chance that the movie will fit without any re-encoding. Is there any way to get the original movie video muxed in before rb starts muxing in the re-endoded movie video?

If the movie will fit without reencoding -- BD-RB should recognize that and not reencode.

it done as you said, no re-endoding of the main movie :)
