For some reason megui is deleting my profiles i tried to prevent this from happening by changing the permission on the allprofiles folder denying delete but permiting everything else. But now when i close the program i get this error message screenshot (http://picasaweb.google.com/vladbv2006/Misc#5417017260746137874).I am using version 3.1.1502 running on windows 7.
Why is this happening?

I assume you mean you are running 3.1.1052. Why don't you try the current version (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=151159) and see if that fixes your problem.

I applied the patch and performed the other updates but it still attempts to delete my profiles screenshot (http://picasaweb.google.com/vladbv2006/Misc#5417032826660971314).Is there a setting or something to prevent this short of modify the source and compile my one custom version.

Maybe they changed the profile format and the old ones are incompatible.

In that case they would offer a replacement via the updater but they don't.Well at the very least this version spits out a error and closes version 3.1.1052 refused to shut down and i had to close it via task kill.

The new version uses different update servers as far as I know. Don't know if there are new profiles on those servers.
Why don't you just delete megui completely, install the new one and use the appropriate update server from the post I linked. Anyway the profile in the screenshot you linked is an audio profile and takes about five seconds to recreate if it actually gets lost.

i did that, and i found out what happen, after i installed and updated megui i started it and then closed it and took the before picture the i started it and closed it and took the after picture. It appears that for some reason that eludes me every time you close megui it deletes the entire allprofiles folder and recreates it a new, sometimes it does a less the stellar job on the 2nd part an some profiles go poof.screenshot (http://picasaweb.google.com/vladbv2006/Misc#5417083817039581922)
