Is it possible to run a 2nd pass only after a backup has been completed?
Let me be more specific: if all the files in the WORKFILES folder are kept, especially the .stats file, I would like to know if I can run just the second pass again thru BD-RB, using the .stats file, but increase the bitrate to fit a DVD DL/BD9 size backup instead of the original settings of DVD/BD5.
If so, what is the proper steps/changes to make?

No for any encoder.

I think what Capsbackup means is, to skip the whole demuxing process (since he already has the demuxed files there), and re-do the second pass with a different bitrate, thus saving a bit of time

Correct, and trying to avoid doing the first pass again.
Also, would there be any disadvantage of doing this, like picture degradation, etc...?

Also, would there be any disadvantage of doing this, like picture degradation, etc...? You could theoretically -- but the MBTREE stats are being deleted as you progress -- because they are so big. The only way it would work is if you have "KEEP_MBTREE=1" in the INI file (or you had "NO_MBTREE=1" set).

OK, thanks for the response. I was pretty sure it wasn't a good idea, and now I know to select my target size wisely! :p
