Hello,
We want to introduce h.264 videos in our tube site. Can someone here provide us with professional help to find the proper encoding settings for optimal video quality. We want to use ffmpeg and x264, but we are also opened for suggestions.
Thanks!

x264's presets (listed here (http://mewiki.project357.com/wiki/X264_Settings#preset) and in the source code) are pretty well-balanced. Set VBV parameters and CRF to match your bitrate and quality requirements. Test some of the presets and select one that suits your encoding speed targets. Adjust CRF.
Note that you also need to set weightp to 1 or disable it to support current stable Flash Player versions. See: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1344224#post1344224
