MakeMKV is a great tool. But I was wondering whether Mike or somebody else can provide some informaton about the svq files.
I'm interested in how this svq files which makemkv needs for BD+ protected discs really work.

I was thinking that maybe an open source tool like bdvmdbg could somehow use these files to create a working conv_tab.bin.
For example, this could be used then in DumpHD to produce repaired m2ts files.

As far as I understand it svq files contain basically the keys used in the BD+ VM. So by using these keys we could at least remove the BD+ protection using OSS.

Is there a possibilty to combine the efforts of MakeMKV and DumpHD somehow?

Not likely. The only one who knows anything about SVQ is Mike Chen, and he does not wish to give away keys or other data from MakeMKV.

That would be a pity. bdsvmdbg can't keep up with the latest BD+ protected discs anymore. These keys would certainly help even though some additional work on the debugger would be necessary to cover all the traps etc. Maybe Mike can clarify things here.
