View Full Version : Broken AC3 Audio in VLC

I'm using Vista x64 and experiencing stuttering audio when listening to a straight AC3 source. I got it when embedding the AC3 source audio in an encoded file and get the same when playing the source DVD ISO using VLC.

I'm not sure of another decent player to test it with, seemed to play fine on my Win7 machine in the other room but that is straight to speakers.

The machine having problems has a COAX straight to the receiver in the living room.

I installed the AC3Filter to atttempt to rectify but it didn't seem to make a difference and the config doesn't come up, does AC3Filter not work on x64? Is there a better player (maybe another one that supports direct play of ISO?) I could be using?

Thanks,
Serin

You could maybe try one of the nightly builds of VLC
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win32/?C=M;O=D
and see if it works better

AC3Filter works fine with 64 bit, but just don't use 64 bit mpc-hc or ffdshow ;)
