HD Re-encode using Ripbot264 and Avisynth to eliminate overscan

I use Ripbot 264 to re-encode 1080p to 720p.

Because my 37in Toshiba HD Ready has overscan these copies of my Blu-ray disks, of course, still have the overscan.

All I need to know is what are the add border parameters I need to use with Avisynth,so that overscan is eliminated.

When I resize to 720p using Ripbot,I see a facility which appears to allow use of Avisynth script.A little puzzled as to what I need to do here.:thanks:

OK..I thought this might be harder than what I may have at first thought.
Am I correct in assuming that I can use the 1:78 Custom re-size option through Ripbot264 (the x.xxx option) and simply reduce the width from 1280 to some thing like 1260 perhaps,and let Avisynth do its thing.Is it as simple as that?

Clearly I have to retain the same ratio 1:78 1:85 1:2.35 etc to stop any stretching or squeezing.

Would this re-sizing in Ripbot264 eliminate overscan?

Solved.Obvious in the end perhaps.

Through Ripbot264,in Avisynth script,at the very end type in.

AddBorders(32,18,32,18)

On my 37in Toshiba LCD Overscan corrected exactly.

1280 x 720 5% in total from width and height.Nothing to do with resizing.
