Non-finalized DVD-R

I do not know where to go, so I start from this community. A friend of mine oversea sent me several TV programs recorded on the DVD-R media in DVD-Video format. Unfortunately, they appear non-finalized, and can not be played on my standalone DVD player. I could send them back to him, and let him to finalize the discs with his machine. But, instead, I would like to finalize them with my computer. However, my Pioneer DVD-R/RW drive can not recognize these discs. What can I do?

Can You see any files in windows explorer? What's the name of the files (with the extentions please)
