Hi there guys,
I just agreed to a friend to do an encoding job for him.
Okay ReMpeg is known to be damn slow.
Transcoding a movie of 95mins. takes over 10hours on my Athlon 1,9Ghz+ System.
But what really disturbed me was when using TmpgEnc to encode a movie into SVCD and then into simple VCD I was amazed to see that it takes the same time to the job.
But I know Mpeg-1 encoding is much easier and should go much faster than Mpeg-2 SVCD.
Anybody has an Idea? Even Ligos Mpeg-Encoder will be faster not to speak of CCE.
By the way...the source file is an DivX4.12 Movie at 3Mbit bitrate and 192Kb MP3 (CBR) Audio.
Yet another bug in TmpegEnc?
