DVD playback under Windows 7 problem

WMP12 - it plays DVD allright, but it's not very comfortable to me.

Other players have problem.
MPC (or MPC-Home cinema) with latest k-lite codec pack,
KMPlayer (tried both internal and external codecs).
They play ALL file formats, even when I open any VOB file from DVD-folder, they can play it and I can choose language and I hear sound.

But if I open VIDEO_TS.IFO, then instead of AC3filter or internal KMPlayer audio decoder, in the list of filters there is Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio decoder, which means no sound to me. Don't know why. But actually I would be glad if there was AC3filter or liba52 there but I don't know how to disable this Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio decoder. It somehow linked with "DVD Navigator" filter.

Could you help me, please?

use a codecpack specifically writen for Windows 7 (http://shark007.net/win7codecs.html) and the directshow issues it presents,
you'd have a singleclick option to disable (or re-enable) the microsoft audio codec allowing playback in the Microsft players.

Tried it, and after that MPC-HC refused to playback DVD with an error "codec not found: DVD Navigator::AC3". Something like this. Perhaps I got a mess with the codecs, so I uninstalled K-lite codec pack.

2. codecpack specifically writen for Windows 7 This works super. KMPlayer works with it's own internal filters. MPC-HC uses ffdshow. DVD plays with sound. Thanks a lot!

K-superior has nothing to do with alexVS's problem. It's the Microsoft decoder that causes it, as proved by your own suggestion to disable that filter.

I didn't get from Shark's comment that he was suggesting the K-Lite codec pack was causing the particular problem, just that he thought it was junk. Where are the lies?

Does that mean no AC3 decoder? Isn't MPC's built in AC3 decoder enabled by default? I thought pretty much all internal filters are enabled by default.
