Hello,
I'm having some trouble removing all the combs and restoring the original NTSC film from this PAL source. Are there any Avisynth functions that can do this? This is the first PAL source I've worked with so I don't really know where to start.
Here's a sample:

Thanks for your help! I'm really clueless when it comes to PAL... :p

Hi!
This sounds remarkably like your post of more than 1 year ago (September 2008)...

Well, it IS similar, but in this case it is the opposite. In that case it was a NTSC source of something that I expected to be originally PAL, and in this case it is a PAL source of something that was NTSC.

Man, really? That stinks.
This DVD was only released in Japan and the UK, so I don't even know if the Japanese NTSC version HAS english subtitles like the UK version....
Well, thanks for your help, and if anyone has any other ideas feel free to point them out.

It's field blended from an NTSC film source:
Yadif(Order=1,Mode=1)#or your favorite bobber
SRestore()

The Japanese DVD will almost certainly have better video quality, since Japan is NTSC.
