My DVD 10x

I have a DVD-rom, but I don't know what brand it is. I use Dr. Hardware to check it. It tells me it s DVD-Rom 10X Rev. 41. It seems to me it's an Acer(Pioneer OEM). So I downloaded firmware upgrading program to kill the region code, ran the program; it didn't work. There is just now way I can find out what my DVD-rom is. Does anyone here know anything about this DVD-rom 10X? Please help.
