I tried HCenc version 0.23 and 0.24 beta on Windows XP64, 4GB RAM, Phenom II quadcore.
Taskmanager shows HCenc at about 25% CPU load (spread over multiple cores), and at the same time, other software which has little demand on the CPU become responding very slow, even though I have HCenc running on low priority.
I tried with Cool'n'Quite turned off, but that has no influence on this issue. Also forcing it to use only one or two CPU cores has no influence on this effect.
What's causing this? I have no such issues with other software.
