Stats File Never Created

Stats file never appears on the desktop. Its not hidden. Just never is produced. Anyone know whats up?

Maybe a bug in x264 VFW encoder, which isn't maintained by the x264 developers. Stop using VFW and use x264.exe together with a suitable GUI instead ;)

That is rather simple. You checked "Use command line" option which overwrites all others. Unckeck it. Also are you sure that path to Desktop is correct (Did you change it from C:\Documents and Settings\...)?

That's a Vista and Windows 7 style path. The %USERPROFILE% folder points to "C:\Users\John Doe" now. Also %ALLUSERSPROFILE% points to "C:\ProgramData".
Applications that are written properly and query the desired paths through the Win32 API (instead of hardcoding them) will use the new paths automatically.

MasterNobody, I will try that. It was checked by default so I didnt think to touch it.

Stick to a command line.

it can be as easy as,

x264.exe -o output.264 input.avs.

There are a few GUI's that use x264.exe if your prefer a GUI.

The other advantage is being able to stay up to date. The current revision is 1332.
Your screen shot shows you using revision 1195.
