Hi All,
I hope this is the right place for this question,I did not see a section for audio troubles, well I am trying to sync a Laserdisc rip of DD 5.1 audio, the ripper ripped each side individually I have 3 sides per movie, well I tried to sync it and the audio starts out OK and then slowly drifts almost immediately and by the end of the side it is way way out, what is going wrong and why is this happening? I have the exact same LD set and capturing the video at the exact same spot he is ripping the 5.1 audio, but the funny thing is,I got side 1 of the movie to sync, just cannot get side 2 and 3 to sync.

so please if anyone has any ideas I sure would LOVE to read them.

Thanks in advance

How did you rip it?

Just as soon as he is back online I will get details,I think he said something about a RF demodulator hooked up to his LD player, and each ac3 file is (DialNorm -27,384 kbps,Surround mix -3,Center mix -3)if this helps at all, just not sure why I can't convert that ac3 file to stereo wav, then load the wav and video into VDub and get my delay, like I do everything else that needs sync'ed.
1 thing I did notice though is that my video is about 10-15 secs longer than the audio ac3 file.
Is there a way to find out how many frames are in an ac3 file and compare to the vid file?
Just really would like to get this to work, this audio sounds very nice, and will be much better than the DD 2.0 I can make for it.

Thanks
