I have a strange problem:

I own the Asus HD4350 with the 9.10 driver installed and a JVC RS20 projector. When I go into the CCC and select 1920x1080@23Hz (23Hz ATI is 23,976 actually as you guys probably know) and apply this format my JVC projector accepts this signal (for that moment) and reports back 1080p24Hz. After this I make a profile of this setting so I can acces it by a keyboard shortcut. After I made this profile I choose 1920x1080@50Hz (hdtv) and click on apply. This setting is also accepted at that moment by my JVC projector (JVC reports 1080p50Hz). For this setting a also made a profile and shortcut (ALT+2). But now comes the problem: When I switch BACK to the 1920x1080@23Hz ati profile (ALT+1) my JVC does not accept it and gives my a non-signal (blue) screen. When I then switch back to the 1920x1080@50Hz ati profile (ALT+2) my projector DOES accept this one. After this I can manually go into the CCC and select 23Hz again, click on apply and then my projector does accept it. So the problem seems to be to profile that messes things up somehow.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I have the very same card in my HTPC, and after much effort, Ive all but given up with 24p output as it's more trouble than its worth for my 24p-capable plasma. Just stick with 25/50 and same yourself the headache.

Incidentally, I found Cats 9.4 to be the best all-round for my setup.

What's wrong with refresh-rate doubling?
