Hope this is the right forum : I'm new to making BD Movies on DVD5, So far I'm 5 for 5 that play well. My problem being that on my TV seems to cut off the top and bottom of the picture [the top and bottom black borders and about a 1/2 inch of the movie, TOP & BOTTOM], but not on my Computer. I've got an OLIVIA47in 1080p. I s this a problem with the TV or can it be resolved with BD Rebuilder

Hi!
Chances are your PC is slightly distorting/stretching the images, while your 1080p TV is properly displaying the video...
What software BluRay player are you using for your PC output?

...or your TV has "Overscan" mode enabled.

Overscan is active on all borders :)
Normally a BD is sent by a 1080p-compatible BD-Player to a 1080p-compatible TV in bit-per-bit (pixel-per-pixel) mode, via HDMI. Even if the TV has various modi, the cropping is not so evident as it was in the analogue era. The only exception is the YUV connection which does have overscan.

Believe me, some Philips TV sets do overscan via HDMI. I have such a model and it has 2 settings for HD video, one of which has a vertical overscan.

Yes, my Pio does it too when set on Full - the overscan is however small and extends on all directions (less than 10 pixels each side). If set on Bit-per-bit the image is 100% the original.

setarip_old: I use GOM Player and VLV, Both players show the movie as it should be with a 3/4 inch of black top & bottom. Batman Begins at the beginning the WB Logo shows it perfectly on my Computer. But my Oelvia and Samsung BD-P1500 cut off about a 1/4 inch of the WB Logo
