Hi there. Just got my blu-ray burner (LG WH08LS20) this week and couldn't wait to get a rewriteable blu-ray disc, so I tried a couple times to backup Batman Begins to a Memorex BD-25. Both times everything went fine. BD-Rebuilder took a long time, but it worked. I then burned the files using IMGBurn. (At the time, I didn't know BD-Rebuilder would burn the files itself using imgburn.) Anyways, I popped the disc into my player (Panasonic DMP-BD35) and I got the piracy warning and the Warner Brothers logo come up, then the movie starts, but stays at 0:00:00. If I press the menu button, the menu comes up and I can pick whatever options I want. I can choose a certain chapter, but it won't go to that chapter. It stays at 0:00:00. The disc itself plays fine on my computer using PowerDVD 9 and I can watch the movie perfectly. I've searched for an answer and couldn't find anything. Anyone, have a any ideas?

I suspect it's your BD-35, sorry to say. :(
I have backed up the Region A version to BD-25, and playback on my Sony BDP-BX1 is perfect.
You could try to take your backup disc to a local retailer that sells and displays Sony's, Samsungs, and LG Blu-Ray players and test it on them. At least you could rule out if it was a bad burn or backup. If it plays on any other player, you won't have to keep wondering what the issue is.
Unfortunately, compatibility among mfg varies greatly.
IMHO, Sony seems to be the most compatible.

You may want to review this thread. (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=144674) It's specific to BD-5/9, but a contains some useful information. I don't have a Panasonic, so I'm just speculating, but it's possible it is the "24p" issue mentioned.

When you burn to BD-25, pretty much every standalone player should work.

I just received the Matador from Netflix and it wont play at all on my 360. I get a screen saying that "This movie will not play due to the parental setting on this player" but it is set to read everything. Every other disc from Netfix has played ok. Whats going on?

So wanted to see Brosnans beer gut too.

bp I'd go back and reset the parental setting to "off"... I've never run into a disc that wouldn't run on my 360.

I guess you're right. The disc played fine in a playstation 3. I then tried just the movie on a Verbatim rewriteable and that played. I find it odd though that the menu would come up and I could see the anti-piracy warning and the WB logo at the beginning of the disc. With a dvd, if the media wasn't compatible the disc wouldn't play at all.
I'll try just the movie on a memorex bd-r. If that doesn't work, then I'll know for sure that its the discs. Thanks for the help.

Edit - Well, I burnt just the movie to a memorex bd-r and it plays ok. So, now I know its not the media. I'll try the new version of bd-rebuilder and see if that works. This is getting expensive!
