Hey all:
I'm reencoding with cce at 23.976, then applying pulldown to bring it back to ntsc 29.97. i've noticed that the original vobs with bitrate viewer showed a frame rate at 29.97, pic. structure: frame, dct type: field, frame type: progressive. After the reencode, and the default settings with pulldown, the .m2v file showed 29.97, pic. stucture: frame, dct type: frame, frame type: interlaced. If i use the -prog_frames p option, it changes the frame type to progressive, with everything else the same. Does this change anything? Does the dct type matter? Any guidance to the proper settings would be greatly appreciated.
