Just to make sure I'm not missing out on anything, are there any other major forums dedicated to video encoding/conversion/whatever besides D9? I know of the VideoHelp.com forums, and I have seen manono post there on occasion. Are there any others that I might be missing out on?

Unfortunately, that website is a mere shadow of its former self since, after raids, legal injunctions and threats a few years back, topics of discussion are very limited there. From what I've seen, the most active category at that site is simple news updates regarding new hardware and legal battles...

If one intelligently uses Google* with specific keywords it would be really surprised to find miriads of fora. However, as setarip_old said, most of them are now more or less silenced due to legal issues they faced or might face.

*it actually means any search engine :rolleyes:.
