Avidemux question

I am new to this and I have used deVede r convetx2dvd to convert my files to dvd but I want to get more hands on, So I have a couple of questions.
I download all of my TV episodes through torrents some of which are .x264.mkv and some are not. I want convert and burn these to DVD which will hold between 3 maybe 4 tv episodes, am I going to run into problems appending these together and will this make the audio out of sync? If so where can I find instructions on how to append files together and re sync the audio.
