Hi,
I am new to ripping and would like to create rips like the professional rippers. I have created a script from a DVD. Its an Indian Video Song. I have uploaded the video song

My Script is as follows:

LoadPlugin("D:\BACKUP\Arjun\Plugins for encoding\masktools-v2.0a36 (1)\mt_masktools-25.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\degrainmedian.dll")
Import("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\LimitedSharpenFaster.avs")
Import("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\Srestore.avs")
DGDecode_mpeg2source("C:\Users\Arjun\Videos\dil.d2v", cpu=4, info=3)
ColorMatrix(hints=true, interlaced=true, threads=0)
Load_Stdcall_Plugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\megui\tools\yadif\yadif.dll")
Yadif(order=1, mode=1)
Srestore(30)
crop( 2, 102, -8, -100)

Lanczos4Resize(720,304)
DeGrainMedian(limitY=4, limitUV=6, mode=1, interlaced=false, norow=false)
LimitedSharpenFaster(dest_x=720, dest_y=304, strength=85)

In the future don't upload a 176 MB VOB when 10 seconds of it will be plenty to see what's going on. Nor does anyone need the audio. Open it in DGIndex and isolate 10 seconds with motion using the [ and ] buttons. Then File->Save Project and Demux Video. Upload the resulting M2V. And Rapidshare pretty much sucks as far as I'm concerned. Much better is MediaFire.

It's not 30fps, but 23.976fps:

Yadif(order=1, mode=1)
SRestore(FRate=23.976)

Your pictures are real pretty and all, but a complete waste of time on your part as they don't help anyone here to determine what you have and how it should be treated.

Almost certainly you don't need to use the ColorMatrix filter. What is your output format, XviD AVI, x264 MP4, what?

This is a horrible DVD, by the way, in case you haven't figured it out. Isn't there a better quality DVD available for this film?

Pictures aren't useful. They serve no purpose. The only thing I or anyone else needs is a small sample from the source.

Besides getting the framerate right?

Well, you probably don't want to hear this but I wouldn't filter it at all - not with that CPU deblocking setting, not with Degrain Medium, and perhaps not even with LSF. There's little enough detail to begin with in that crummy DVD, and you've removed what little remains.

Just my opinion, worth about what you paid for it. Others might have different opinions.

What don't you understand? The English language or that script? Did you just get that script from BwT or some place and have no understanding of it is or what it does?

For understanding scripting in general, the AviSynth site is a good place to start:

http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/Main_Page

For understanding that particular script, the filters used have documents included with them that usually explain what they do and how to use them.
