good and simple dvd to xvid program

hi.

i want to convert dvd espiode to xvid epsiode. It must be very easy to do it. i need to make a very good or best quality picture available. which program will do it?

They're all around here, some are abandoned, others are maintained regularly.
If you ask my personal preference, be it cleverly thought out, easy for beginners, nicely polished,
and overall great tools, my top 2 are StaxRip and AviDemux.
