Ok, so I have been converting my dvd library to .mp4 and streaming to my xbox360 with AnyDVD and Handbrake. I felt confident and wanted to try the same with blu-ray now. Based on an article I read (maximumpc.com 4.2.2009), I used AnyDVDHD to rip the image and installed ripbot and all the latest components it requested. Each time it "demuxes" and then opens media player classic - the player freezes and gives me an error indicating its missing a codec/filter. I'm stuck - I have read most posts and cant find the key after deleting and reinstalling all components. I would appreciate any advice.
The error info is provided below.

Media Player Classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codecs or filters installed on the system.

The following pin(s) failed to find a connectable filter:

You need to get a YV12 codec, or tell ffdshow to handle it.

Thanks for the information. I have a lot to read. How would I tell ffdshow to handle it?

Like you tell ffdshow to handle any other codec. Open the video configuration panel, go to the codecs page, set the raw video option to one of "all supported", "all yuv" or "YV12"

Thanks - I just adjusted the settings and got one step further. Now I don't get the error, but mcp opens and says "getavs info" and the button on the time bar on the bottom just jumps around. Thanks so much for help and quick replies.
