pulling DTS audio from one dvd and applying it to another?

Hi, Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place.

I recently ordered the Twister 2-disc Special Edition in R1 from Amazon UK (still waiting for delivery) and found out that it doesn't have DTS audio.

So I have decrypted my old normal edition Twister dvd and demuxed only the DTS audio with DGindex in advanced.

I would like to know how to apply the DTS to the remastered video of the special edition without re-encoding the video or audio so I can burn to a dvd9

Maybe it is not work the trouble?

Are you sure the video content and runtime are identical?

And what is there if not DTS? Maybe I'm wrong but isn't DVD-compliant AC3 stream has comparable quality to DTS? Can anyone confirm or decline this?
I hopes it will be interesting for sigma2x too...

You have brought a good point to my attention Inspector.Gadget, the runtimes ARE different, the old one is 108mins and the new one 113mins.

So it might be best for me to just clone the dvd as R2 to play in my player.

Keiyakusha, the DTS file is nearly 2x in size as the AC3, but maybe there is not much difference when listening? all I know is the bitrate is higher in DTS.

Sure, it's 2x in size, but i believe AC3 has 2x better compression.
