creating multichannel audio

Hello

I'm beginning to dab into 5.1, and realise I don't kown how to create a 5.1 (or 3.2) audio file from scratch.
No need for fancy real surround sound, just assigning different audio sources to each channel

You can use avisynth, audacity or sox to create multi-channel files.
