If I demux AC3 from some VOB files, and DGIndex reports it has a delay of "203ms" how can I decode that AC3 to WAV with it maintaining the proper 203ms of audio delay?

Isn't the delay always maintained on any conversion and format?

The audio streams demuxed by DGIndex are not intrinsically delayed; DGIndex just puts the amount of delay to apply at muxing stage into the filename of the demuxed stream ... EpheMeroN wanted to apply it into the WAV converted file, hence the (correct, imho) hint by b66pak.
(hoping not to have blundered blindly into things I only *think* I know about, btw :-P)

DGIndex removes the delay when decoding to WAV, so that it is not necessary to apply a correction when dubbing the audio and video in the AVS script.
I do not undertand the point of trying to defeat that functionality.

Still not getting it but then not really concerned.

Point is, the OP didn't know about the direct decoding to WAV from DGIndex, and I didn't remember it :o
For the OP: in DGIndex, menu "Audio" -> "Output Method" -> "Decode AC3 track to WAV" and that's it :)

Yeah, what talen9 said.
I'm so bad at reading between the lines. :p
