I generally rip my DVDs to fit a 700MB disc... But the problem is while using the Xvid codec using Virtualdub, the bitrate calculated by the codec itself, isn't achieved in the resultant file... Thus the file is undersized... Is there any way as to how I can set a fixed bitrate?? Like If I set it at 1300, it should be ripped at exactly the same bitrate... Also, how do I change this part of the avi file(as reported by GSpot:

File Length Correct
DivX Style "packed bitstream" AVI
OpenDML (AVI v2.0)
Interleave: 1 vid frame (42 ms), preload=512
Audio frames: Split across interleaves
AVI Overhead: 236 KB (0.30%)

to be saved like this??

File Length Correct
AVI v1.0
Interleave: 1 vid frame (42 ms), preload=504
Audio frames: Aligned on interleaves
AVI Overhead: 7.65 MB (1.09%)

Regarding undersized output from Xvid :search: on this forum.
Regarding AVI re-muxing use AVI-Mux GUI (http://www.alexander-noe.com/video/amg/)
