Does anyone know a possibility to playback a mpeg2 movie with audio and video stream ripped into seperate files? When ripping movies with smartripper i enable stream processing and save the streams in seperate files so it's easier to encode later, but i haven't found a usable way to playback the rip from the harddisc. The only way i figured out so far is using graphedit, but then i can't fastforward or anything because audio and video loose sync. So to sum it up: I'm looking for a way to playback a .m2v videostream and an .ac3 audiostream (passed through to my 6 channel amp) and keep the playback in sync.

thx in advance

BSPlayer can load an external audio track but you will have the same problems. I guess there's no way to do this and keep synch when you do extensive skipping in the movie. Why don't you rip the CD using movie mode in smartripper. This would be the best way if you want to watch the rip from the HD. Or even use backup mode to have the DVD menu and all the extras, too. Extracting the audio stream from the VOBs on your HD is neither complicated nor very time consuming.
