Guys,
I realise the process of BD rebuilder is a slow one, but i have a question.

When I start processing a BD movie BD rebuilder shows a frames per second (FPS) rate of up to 27. Then several hours later it has dropped to 5 FPS (at about 50% complete) and 24 hours its 2.27 FPS at 89%.

Is there a reason this slows ?
Is this why it takes so long ?
Is there a solution or is it just the way it is ?

Hi!Is this why it takes so long ?The primary reason is usually a low-powered system...

It's 2-pass system meaning it encodes it twice. The first encode is quicker and will take about 4 hours to complete. But the second encode is slower (on purpose) and will take about 8 hours or more to complete. This is normal.

Guys,

thanks for that. I am using a low powered system. Just a PC I had lying round. So I am expecting it to be slow.

Was just a bit curious as to why it would start at a reasonablly high FPS then drop. I kind of thought the FPS would be constant over the whole process.

all good :thanks:
