Ive been able to backup a couple of my dvds to divx3. The quality is alright, but its been overly blocky. I tried to use divx 4.11 codec and when it was done I got a rather large file with no audio or video

I am running win2ksp2, flask 0.6, divx 4.11, some mp3 codec.

Id rather use divx4, but haven't had any luck with it. I was trying the last option (2nd pass, 2pass?) something like that.

Also, I tried originally to back these dvds while in Win XP, but the program would either crash or would finish and then crash.

Are there any programs out there that would allow me to encode in win xp ?
