I have numerous MPEG-4 ASP/MP3 (DivX/Xvid) videos that fail the DMFCheck bit stream test, which is part of the DivX SDK, but play fine. Has anyone developed a method to clean, condition, regenerate an MPEG-4 ASP AVI file without recoding? I would like it to unpack the bit stream, remove user data information, and generally make the file as small and bit stream compliant as possible. I’m currently using such programs as AtomicParsley, DivXMux, DMFCheck, mkvextract, mkvmerge, MP4Box, MPEG4Midifier, DivXFix++, and AVIDemux.
