Analysing in MeGUI suggested a partially interlaced video,
Yadif(order=1)
which resulted in high amount of ghosting...
Sample (http://www.sendspace.com/file/bxicrp) (couldnt get a better sample, as mpeg2cut doesnt work properly with Windows 7)
Any help appreciated!

MeGUI can only recognize interlacing or hard telecine, not frame blending etc.

Rule of thumb - if it's an eastern movie, it's most probably fieldblended. If it's Bollywood, it IS fieldblended. ("Exceptions prove the rule", but I've yet to see a "clean" Bollywood movie...)
This one definetly is fieldblended, SRestore definetly is indicated (though there are some overblendings, which isn't ideal), and MeGUI's analyzing is done by a machine.

try srestore(frate=23.976) or srestore(frate=25.000). one of the two should give you smooth playback.

This one definetly is fieldblended, SRestore definetly is indicated ,
As stated, it won't get any better than that...

To get meaningful results from SRestore, you must use full-rate deinterlacing, not "throw away half the fields" deinterlacing. Switch Yadif to bob mode.
(And the blends still won't go away.)

^ Mode=1 is the bob mode.
