View Full Version : Easy way to disable filters for portions of the video?

Here's my problem: I'm using RemoveDirtMC to kill dirt and scratches on a video transfer. But there are some scenes where this causes artefacts (erasing sparks, etc).

Is there a simple AviSynth command I can feed frame numbers to to disable the filter on specific ranges?

Trim()

Yoursource
Cleaned=removedirtmc(yoursource)
Trim(cleaned,0,100)+trim(101,158)+trim(cleaned,159,169).........+trim(xxxxxx,0)
It's just an example of course and more usefull than just 'trim()'

Or ApplyRange.

Or, if you need to do this a lot, you should use ReplaceFramesSimple from my RemapFrames plug-in (http://www.avisynth.org/stickboy/).

you could also use condition reader. this also avoids splitting up the video.

Stickboy: absolutely perfect, thank you. A nice clean way to get the job done.
