View Full Version : eac3to (WAV) -> BeSweet: problem

I've pulled a DTS audio stream off of a Blu-Ray using eac3to, and saved it as a single WAV file (all default settings). When I try to encode this file to mp3 using BeSweet it says "Unknown Input-File Format". Some searching online has left me with the impression that BeSweet can't handle 24bit WAV files as input: is this correct? I can't find it explicitly mentioned anywhere - you'd think that sort of thing would be on the BeSweet FAQ. (And, if I add "-16" to the eac3to CL, it will correctly downsample it for me, yes?)

(And yes, if that is the problem, I am aware of such solutions as "convert directly to mp3 in eac3to". I'm not looking for alternate solutions, I'm just trying to find out if I've correctly identified the problem :))

BeSweet don't support 24 bit and don't support WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE header ("Unknown Input-File Format")

To use with BeSweet you need -simple -down16 parameters.

Of course the best option is don't use BeSweet anymore, the soft is abandoned and obsolete.
