Hi,

I have a weird problem. I used MultiAVCHD with one MKV that has DTS audio only. I created an ISO with Imgburn, mounted the ISO with VirtualCloneDrive and played it with PDVD9. Playes fine. I then burn the same ISO to a DVD-5 and play it from the DVD on my PC (Pioneer 110 DVD burner) No sound. PDVD9 shows DTS audio but at 0 bps. Regular DVD's play fine from the same setup; other AVCHD's with AC3 on DVD-5 play OK; I even tried the errant AVCHD/DVD-5 on my LG BD burner - same problem: no sound, and PDVD9 shows DTS audio at 0 bps. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Zot

Update: If I use VLC media player and play the .m2ts file from the disk - I get audio. If I play the same .mt2s file with PDVD-9, no sound. This could be a PDVD problem?

1) You could've posted in multiAVCHD thread
2) multiAVCHD is about hardware players, not software ones
3) Yes, it seems you're lacking decoders/licenses to play DTS in PDVD (the least supported by me application)
4) Output is not to be played/used FILE-BY-FILE... you need to play the whole structure, not individual M2TS files

If you use multiAVCHD then it means you're trying to play the output in a stand-alone-player (SAP). If you really want to test if it will work in your hardware player - then use ArcSoft TMT or Nero Showtime. You don't have to burn anything or to create an .iso - just drag the BDMV folder to one of these apps.

Hi!

Sorry about that - I will do so in the future

I understand. I screw up sometimes so I always check my work along the way. my PS3 is my h/w player I usually use.

I should have mentioned that AVCHD output to a BD-R plays DTS on my PC fine using PDVD; so it seems to be something unique to the AVCHD/DVD-5 combination.

4) Output is not to be played/used FILE-BY-FILE... you need to play the whole structure, not individual M2TS files
I agree - I was just trying to troubleshoot the problem.

You've got a GREAT program here - I've just recently started using it. MANY thanks for your efforts here! I usually burn to BD-R and then play on my PS3, but I had a problem with an MKV earlier (turned out to be a bad file) so I check my work as I go. PS3 is tied up right now but I will check the DVD_5 on it later.

Again, many thanks for your work!
