Hello
here is my problem.

1) Panasonic camera - DV captured with PC XPSP3 and windows standard procedure

2) Video edited with Adobe Premiere Elements 7 and exported in avi file (no coding: Microsoft DV AVI) without problem

3) I tried to encode the with premiere but at 70% the program hangs. I tried several time without success and the problem appears at different moment (always between 60-80%). I tought it was a memory problem (My pc has 1GB) at first

4) I tried at least 2 different program to encode the avi edited file (step 2) and I had the same result: after the coding at the same point there is a strange green imagine with a long beep and then the video restart with the audio out of sync

5) I tought that there was a problem in the original captured video (step 1) so I cutted out a couple of seconds where the problem appered but I got the same results with the strange green imagine at a different moment (just few seconds after the previuos cutted part)

And now I don't know what to do... any suggestion?
Thanks

2 things come in to my mind:
1. AVI file size (2GB) and
2. FAT32 file size (4GB).

In case the AVI file is ok and you have it on a NTFS partition try to play it on a normal player (ie not in Premiere timeline) and/or export it directly to camcorder (Print to tape) and see if the file is "broken".

Thanks,
avi is 1GB (and I'm working with NTFS -> no size problem)
And no problem with a different player (VLC and MPC didn't show any problem...). I tried to encode the AVI file with tmpeng and that was OK... probably is a problem with premiere.
Cheers
