Hello,

I am experiencing a really weird problem with VirtualDub and vDubMod. It has suddenly started automatically increasing the width of the video for any resolution I choose. For example, I kept 704, it turned out to be 800px or so. The weirdest part is even MediaInfo shows the video as 704px, but the screenshot image info shows the actual width in 800px.

In this case, I used 704x368, but vDubmod made it 836x368 or so. I am frustrated now as the preview in the window is fine, but encoded video is expanded along the length. I even removed each filter I used thinking it's one of the filters, but still it does it. By the way, I am loading a AVS file to do the encode.

I even did a clean install of vDubmod, but no luck. meGUI does it exactly as I want, but I feel VirtualDubMod is better for enhancing the video quality.

Thanks!

You have probably (inadvertently) set a non-square PAR in your encoder. Not the fault of VDub(Mod).

So, how do I fix that? XviD works fine in meGUI.

EDIT

I explored around the XviD panels and set Pixel Aspect Ratio to custom. Everything is fine again :).

Thanks for the hint.
