View Full Version : BD-Rebuilder - never once worked for me

I've tried to use bd-rebuilder to compress bd-50 to bd-25 with several different movies - most recently Shooter.
They all pretty much come back with the same error: Error 1605 ExtractAudioSubs.
I've made sure all the subs were selected as I had read before that you can't uncheck them. I've also tried it in its default state when the program opens. Latest beta version.
I'm doing movie only, default encode to bd-25 (also have tried custom size of 23400 to make sure it gets on a single layer bd-r)...And the workfiles it creates are over 25gb so I can't use tsmuxer to reauthor anyway...
I've gotta be missing something, but for the life of me I just can't figure it out.
Thank you in advance for helpful advice.

If you're attempting to run BD-RB on a Mac via Parallels, it probably won't work altogether. There are many factors to overcome. A lot of programs just won't work via Parallels, or Bootcamp or whatever. BD-RB relies heavily on other programs such as FFDSHOW and AVISYNTH. If those programs can't function via Parallels, then BD-RB won't work.

I suggest you change the title of this thread to "Never Once Worked for Me on a system it was never intended to work on"... try it on a toaster next time -- it won't work on that either.
Sigh...

Its funny how people buy Macs because they don't like Windows... and then spend all their time trying to run Windows programs.

The Mac is probably the best technically designed personal computer you can buy. But it's like choosing a left-hand threaded bolt in a world of right-hand threaded holes. You get to stare at your technical marvel while it keeps your desk from floating upward. Meanwhile the "lesser designed" windows machines are running the world.
The commercials a good though (although I laugh when I think of the poor suckers who actually fall for that crap). I especially like the "PC has to worry about viruses" parts. That's more of a sales point for PC... who is going to waste their time to develop a virus that will only affects 1% of the computer world?

you use a NTFS formatted external USB drive for storage of the decrypted disk and as a work disk. At least it does for me (using VMWare and WinXP). The problem appear to be the disk drivers accessing the Mac HFS+ file system.
