AC3 sync problem during demux

I just bought the Lord of the Rings special extended trilogy pack & I was ripping the Fellowship of the Rings when I encountered this sync problem in the Dolby digital 2.0 track. Of course, the sync if perfect if you play it Windows media player or dvd player. The desync problem occurs when I use DGIndex to create a single project file of the entire movie. The desync in that single AC3 2.0 track starts from the point the first VOB file of the disc 2 begins. Before that the movie is in sync. None of the other tracks are creating this problem. Dgindex reports no delay even if select that single VOB file. I have google-searched everywhere regarding ripping or decrypting properly but I am reaching dead end all the time. So whats the right way to obtain a single AC3 stereo track of the entire movie without any sync issues ?

Maybe you need add silence at end of first part if audio1 length don't match with video1 length.

Possible workaround (not a solution): encoding each disc separately (w/ same settings) and combining the two encodes afterwards.

Solved: using VideoRedo. It was the video stream that was longer. The AutoQuickStream fix function in VideoRedo did the trick. Thnx anyways for your suggestion guys.

Maybe it's a good idea for DGIndex to be able padding the ac3 file with the missing few secs at the end of the last vob (of the first cd)?

btw, how exactly is the audio shorter than the video? :S is there a silent ending between cd1 and cd2?

This has something to do with the VOB......I will check again & let u know but the the AC3 length was same before & after using VideoRedo. Its a good tool for obtaining perfect sync files but the drawback is that you can only obtain a single AC3 audio track in the output MPG file.
