I have just ordered the new LG 8x Blu-ray burner & 500GB of blank blu-ray discs to backup my data on my server & a thought about getting some blu-ray movies to look at aswell. But the other day I saw my first ripped blu-ray movie & it looked great, better than any rip I had ever seen, the movie was a mp4 that I played with VLC on my PC. The movie used 'H.264/MPEG-4 AVC', I have used AUTOGK for years to rip DVDs, is there a program like this one that would do the same but for Blu-ray to mp4 H264?
One other question, I use a dedicated PC to rip DVD's:
Dell
Intel P4 2.6GHz HT CPU
2GB DDR 400 RAM
2 IDE HD's
XP Pro
Does ripping Blu-ray demand more from the PC than just ripping DVD's?
The LG 8x Blu-ray Burner is going in my gaming PC:
Intel Quad Core Q9450 @ 2.8GHz CPU
8GB DDR2 800 RAM
3 SATA HD's
620W PSU
Samsung 40" LCD TV
XP Pro 64bit & Windows 7 (RC1)
Would I be better to rip blu-ray on this PC?
What software would I need to rip blu-ray easily? Any help would be great, sorry for the speech...
PS - The ripped blu-ray movie was from "SecretMyth (Kingdom-Release)"
