View Full Version : HCEnc Crashing in DVD-RB 1.28.2

Hello

As I try to encode DVD-RB with HCEnc, then HCEnc crashes provided *Use LOSELESS Parameter under Settings>HC Settings is selected.
If the LOSELESS parameter is unchecked then there is no problem, HCENc flies through the process.

Is there any solution to this problem?

Please help. :(

Have you enough space of the drive HCEnc is using to store the lossless file as this can get pretty big, upto about 4GB I think

The fact that it works without the LOSSLESS option, suggests there is a problem with that enabled, possibly lack of space

What error is it giving, or just quitting with no errors

I have at least 80GB free in the hard drive where the work folder for DVDRB is located. So there is no space issue.

It does give an error in terms and format of XP's error message.

And as you are here, may I ask you two questions?

1. After preparation and changing compression of the different segments for a particular VTS, if I save the job, add it to the batch list and then start the batch, the preparation stage starts again. Does it mean that all the customization that I have done in the Preview pane are lost? Because in the batch processing 1-click mode is enabled.

2. Is any new version expected for Windows 7 in near future?
