Whenever I choose "Show Details for All Processes" in ProcessExplorer under Windows 7 the following error pops up:
http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/180/procexp.png
However when I close the dialog, it will succeed anyway. But with such an essential tool like ProcessExplorer this is a bit unnerving. So anybody seen this too and/or know how to fix it?
I think it would be sufficient to make sure that the ProcessExplorer will always start with administrative privileges, but I don't know how to do that yet ^^
(I have the latest version of ProcessExplorer and the release version of Windows 7 Professional)

I don't know what 'Show Details for All Processes' does, never used/needed this option but it don't give me a error, I run v11.04 on Win 7 7100 32bit.

If you start it with a shortcut then you can edit the shortcut to start it as admin, shortcuts have a option for this.

By default ProcessExplorer starts without admin rights to avoid the UAC dialog. But then all processes, except for the "user" processes, don't have detailed info.
The 'Show Details for All Processes' triggers an UAC dialog and after that full information for all processes is available. But in my case there's that (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1319826&postcount=1) nasty error message each time!
If you start it with a shortcut then you can edit the shortcut to start it as admin, shortcuts have a option for this.
Even the EXE file has that option in its properties (see "Compatibility" tab). But if I configure "Run this program as an administrator", then ProcessExplorer fails to start completely when I right-click the Taskbar and choose "Start Task Manager". Only an error messages pops up. Also it won't start via Alt+Ctrl+Del. Yes, I have configured ProcessExplorer to replace the Windows Task Manager...

ProcessExplorer offers this as an option, so you don't need to hack the registry manually ;)

Well, I get that UAC dialog too. And after I choose 'Yes' all works as expected. It's just that I need to discard that (http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1319826&postcount=1) error message every single time
The strange thing is: It says that it cannot find the file (ProcesExplorer executable). That file that definitely is there at that path. It must be there, because it's already running!
Guess I have to wait for Sysinternals to update ProcessExplorer for Windows 7 ...

I put mine to C:\Users\Dawid\AppData\Roaming\ProcessExplorer and it does not show any errors.

Alt+Ctrl+Del definitely works under Windows 7. It will show a menu from where you can run the Task Manager, lock the screen, log out and so on.
I tried Alt+Crtl+Esc and all is does is switching the active window, just like Alt+Tab but without the menu...

Please re-read what I said (and you quoted): it is Control, Shift, Escape... Not Alt+Ctrl+Esc...

Yes, Ctrl+Shift+Esc for starting the Taskmanager still works under Windows 7 ;)
