I've always blamed my inability to identify the verification image as being due to having done too much Motorhead and DirectShow over the years which has muddled my brain, however is seems that most of my failures might be a bug in the system ? (see attached).
TTFN,
Jon
PS : Just to be clear, I'm only meaning to highlight the possible bug, not the use of verification images which are spammers fault not the forums !

Specifically, what is the bug you are describing?

During login (after Opera lost my password [DOH!]) or a search you have to type in the six letters hidden in an image. It often takes 6 attempts or more to get one that works and I put it down to me.
In the image that was attached are some of my attempts at one of the images, both of which were rejected. Even looking at it now, I dont see the reason why my 6 letters don't match the image - hence my raising the issue is there a bug in the forum code generating the wrong image ?
TTFN,
Jon

Bug or PEBKAC these systems suck big time, there are way more fun systems out there, personal favorite:

I would rather have to solve a (simpler!) mathematical puzzle than go through this torture. The images seem to have got more difficult/ambiguous recently and I often have to make several attempts before getting through.
JonE's example might be BtbyNH
BTW, I have never been sure about this point - is the answer is case-sensitive?
