I have a blu-ray which consistently fails to copy the main m2ts container.
I have tried using anyDVD and copying the file directly, extracting the streams into an MKV with makeMKV and extracting the entire disc contents using blu-ray ripper.
At the same point, around 16.6 gig mark, the extraction will fail with each method; claiming that the drive isn't ready or similar error. I have tried playing the movie normally and it freezes at a particular part aswell, this suggests to me that the issue is some kind of physical damage at that part of the disc, but it is a very brief area, maybe only 1 second of bad footage.
What I am interested in knowing is whether there is an application available that is capable of extracting only part of a stream, say the first part up to the error, and the remainder after the error. Thanks
