DVD2ONE problems

I'm creating a demo disc with various clips and all have the EXACT same resolution and audio. Seamless branching works fine, its connects all the clips together and I can skip chapters.
Thing is, I want to create a slight pause or black frame in between the clips. I created a 2 second video of a black screen (avisynth+hcenc+muxman) but DVD2ONE doesn't accept this, no valid fileset. It only works if the video is 5 seconds long and not any shorter. Any way around this?
I could use DVD Shrink and pgcedit plugin but I'd rather use the chapter skip...

Shrink makes one title set per clip which results in a short break between clips which could be what you want. You can use NEXT to skip forward to later clips.
